Berching in Bavaria,Germany

I went to this place with my husband last April, 2008. One thing I really admired about Germany is how they preserved their history, old buildings like churches and museums, culture and traditions and a lot more..Berching is also also called an eight-gated city..In fact this city is surrounded by walls....It's really amazing how you can see the remnants of history in this place...

guess that all for now...keep coming back to know more about Germany!!

one of the entrance going inside the city of Berching..and there she is with the red jacket!!

see that tower from afar that's one of the gate in the city.....
I love this old but very attractive pink house!!

a little info of Berching from my beloved Wikipedia..

Berching is a historical town with a fully preserved town wall and low streamlet. The first settlement was registered in 883, so that it is more than 1100 years old. Berching is located in the district of Neumarkt in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal, 20 km south of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz.
