Berching in Bavaria,Germany

I went to this place with my husband last April, 2008. One thing I really admired about Germany is how they preserved their history, old buildings like churches and museums, culture and traditions and a lot more..Berching is also also called an eight-gated city..In fact this city is surrounded by walls....It's really amazing how you can see the remnants of history in this place...

guess that all for now...keep coming back to know more about Germany. I also want to let you know that Germany is very cold during winter time. HB said that the weather this month is reaching until -20 degree centigrade during the night. That is maybe one reason why he is experiencing pain in his leg. Is it called rheumatoid arthritis? I hope not.

one of the entrance going inside the city of Berching..and there she is with the red jacket!!

see that tower from afar that's one of the gate in the city.....
I love this old but very attractive pink house!!

a little info of Berching from my beloved Wikipedia..

Berching is a historical town with a fully preserved town wall and low streamlet. The first settlement was registered in 883, so that it is more than 1100 years old. Berching is located in the district of Neumarkt in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated on the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal, 20 km south of Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz.

Very interesting and informative article on Germany. Your description of Berching and the photos are quite loveable. I also love to visit places having historical improtance and having interesting buildings, ruins and other things related to history. It brings a queer feeling whenever you are near them. I would also like to visit the interesting city of Berching whenever I am in Germany.
