Working in Germany

Volkfest in Neumartk, Oberpfalz Germany..I was there!!

Let me share a bit about my own experience in this country. Before you migrate or live in Germany, please consider some things especially if you want to work here. Per my experience, my degree and work experience as a banker and accountant for almost nine years back home is not recognized here. This is especially true if you want to work for a German employer. It means that I am back to zero and have to go back to school again. The big problem is the German language which I need to study first and be fluent about it. Of course, I can basically speak, read and understand German because I am already a German citizen now. I have a B1 German language certificate and if I really want to go back to college or University I need to have the C1 certificate in which I need around 1,000 hours to learn German language.

For example if you want to go for healthcare jobs like caregiver in a Nursing Home, you also need the so-called Ausbildung in German which means a Practicum for around three years. At the same time you also need to go to school. This is only some info if ever you want to migrate here especially if you are coming from third world countries. Germany is beautiful and I love it here but there are also some things here that you need to consider.
