Oktoberfest 2009 Fever is Still Going On

Good evening everyone! I am thinking of what to share here tonight. I have a lot in mind but since the Oktoberfest fever is still going on in Munich, I decided to post some photos for now. What you see and expect in Oktoberfest? of course, first and foremost is the beer drinking and eating and having fun in those rides and more things too see and enjoy. You can experience meeting people who get drunk but they bring no harm per our experience. I even heard from a drunk lady who was already accompanied side by side by two other ladies telling, “Ich bin kaputt” which means in English “I am ruined”. She was very drunk that she can’t walk anymore. Poor little big girl!

There was also a news last week that one lady was raped on her way to the train station. So ladies out there, you better have somebody with you or any friends and companies when you go to the Oktoberfest. This week’s security in Munich is also very strenuous. Every big bags and luggages and even delivery trucks entering the Oktoberfest location are being checked. This is due to the plan terrorist attack. I believed that strict securities must be implemented to ensure security to the people visiting this festival. Here are some photos taken last Saturday as we visited the Oktoberfest.

Did you see that little cupid out there? That is the sign going to the WC or restrooms.

striking a pose before going around! You also see some womem wearing the so-called Dirndl or Trachten and the men also wear the Lederhose (leather pants) and Hemd (shirts).
