Having Fun at the Bürgerfest in Regensburg, Bavaria

I really don't feel like going out yesterday because I was a bit tired..but my feet just get itchy that I need to go somewhere. After we ate our great lunch we decided to visit the Bürgerfest in Regensburg, Bavaria. This is the first time that I attended this festival which takes place every two years...(if I am not mistaken). I have been to this city for more than 20 times but this is first time that I visited this very lively and fantastic celebration. People were everywhere especially around the old city. You can see a lot bands playing their music in every corner of the streets. German festivals will not be happier and merrier without the beer tents and kiosk that sells food, drinks, bratwurst and a lot more.

It seems that the night is getting over again. I will give you more updates about this tomorrow. feel free to visit my other sites...have a great evening to all!
it's me smiling due to happiness ..photo taken at the Regensburg square..you can also see the tower of the famous St. Peter Cathedral in Regensburg.

there were people everywhere..even the bridge down under in Steinerne Bruecke also had a lot of people. ..you can see a lot of kiosks and tents where people celebrate. I can't imagine how many thousands of people visited this festival since Friday until it was over last night.

Wish To Study Computer Related Courses in Germany

"Life is Always a Process of Learning", as the saying goes and I believed in this. I have a plan of studying a computer related course here in Germany. I was already browsing for an online course related to software development but it seems that the cost of study is quite expensive. I will see what I can do..For now, I want to have first a long vacation back home. It will be a problem if I go for vacation and attending a study at the same time. I guess it will be a conflict of schedule. Hopefully next year, I can fully decide on this. Good luck to me and to those who are planning to study again.

Walking Around Hohenfels

The weather is still not getting better until now. It has been raining since Sunday in Hohenfels. We use to go walking around when the weather is sunny and friendly. You can see in the picture here the very nice walking way that we have. This is where we take time to have some exercise and watching the beauty of nature around. This is also one thing I love about Hohenfels. I hope that the weather will be better soon so that we can go walking again..or else I might force to buy an elliptical to exercise at home. This might be a great alternative. Right guys?

Crystal Shopping in Neustadt an der Waldnaab in Bavaria

Despite having cough and colds yesterday, I still manage to wake-up early for a Crystal Shopping in Neustadt an der Waldnaab. This crystal sale takes place every year during the month of June. If I am not mistaken, every third Sunday of the month. Here you can see the factory shop of the famous crystal factory Nachtmann. I got some great deals from yesterday and was already happy. Due to excitement, I forgot to take photos of the crystal shops. I only have here the picture of their Church. St. George Church was built in 1737 by their city engineer at that time named J. Mayer.
Neustadt an der Waldnaab is a municipality in Bavaria, capital of the district Neustadt (Waldnaab). I took this photo while I was in the Nachtmann factory shop which is located in a hilly place.

Travel and Explore Neukirchen beim Heiligen Blut in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria

I finally had the chance to post some photos from Neukirchen beim Heiligen Blut. Neukirchen is a municipality in the district of Cham in Bavaria in Germany. Neukirchen beim Heiligen Blut is also a place of pilgrimage and at the same time a monastery. It's Patron Saint is Mary or Maria. It is located in the oldest and earliest trading street from Bavaria to Prague in the Bavarian Forest in Germany.

As usual I am fascinated again with the frescos on the ceiling of the Church. It is truly amazing how those artist made all those arts and paintings. Here are some photos I am sharing for now. I have to slowly sign-off now because I am not really feeling good. Have a great weekend!

After our shopping escapades in Czech Republic last Saturday, June 13, 2009, we also visited some small towns and cities in Bayerischen Wald or Bavarian Forest. One of the places we went to is Lam. Lam is a municipality in the district of Cham in Bavaria in Germany. I noticed that there are a lot of small hotels in this area. You can also see in the background of the photo the tower of St. Ulrich, a Catholic Church in Lam. We went a bit around the small town and proceeded to other towns near here. more updates next time. Planning to Sell Beauty Products in Germany

My friend's mother-in-law from the United States visited Germany last month. They went here to have a short vacation to see Germany and the neighboring countries. I also had a chance to meet them. Her mother-in-law introduced some beauty products which include skin care products. I was optimistic for the first time because I want to earn extra income selling beauty products. The problem is, I need to have a permit in Germany to sell those products. I guess getting a permit is not easy. I will see tomorrow if we visit the German authorities and ask for more information. I will update you soon! Time to slowly sign-off!

Having Fun at the Trachtenfest in Lengenfeld, Germany

Thanks goodness that the weather this afternoon got better. I finally witnessed for the first time the Trachtenfest in Lengenfeld, a small town in Upper Palatinate in the state of Bavaria, Germany. Around seventeen groups participated during the parade and presented and wore different trachten. If I have to translate Trachtenfest in English, it simply means National Custome Festival. "Tracht" means a dress or a custome and "Fest" means festival. German's national customes are called Lederhosen for the male and Dirndl for the female. I will give you more infos about Lederhosen and Dirndl next time. You can continue to read below for more article about Tracht. have fun viewing the photos.
I had a pose with the whole family that wear Trachten..very interesting how German people preserved their culture and tradition.
the beautiful and attractive Trachten called Dirndl for female...these kids also had fun during the parade.

Tracht is a traditional national costume in Germany. Although the word is most often associated with Austrian and Bavarian costumes, many other peoples of Germany have them. Recently, there has been a renewed interest in tracht.

The tracht of southern Germans and Austria has inspired an entirely new fashion style, called Landhausmode (Country Estate Style). Landhausmode, influenced by the costumes of the farmers, peasants and rural people, and characterized by the use of linen, loden (a traditional type of felt that has recently gained popularity worldwide) and embroidery, is somewhat analogous to North American Western Wear, in that there is a relationship between Landhausmode and Alpenrock (a style of rock music influenced by traditional Alpine songs), just as there is a relationship between Western Wear and Country Music. It is also very common in Liechtenstein.
Friesische Tracht from the North Sea isle of Amrum

In northern Germany some of the best known examples are the "Friesische Tracht" and the Finkenwerder Tracht. The "Friesische Tracht" is richly decorated with beads and embroidery. The quality of the work was a sign of the riches and social status of the farmer's wife wearing it. In former times it was brought into a marriage by the bride as part of her dowry. This costume is occasionally still worn at weddings. The "Finkenwerder Tracht" is the traditional costume of the inhabitants of an island in the Elbe river. It is worn by a local folklore group called Finkwarder Speeldeel. The long sleeved dark blue shirts with white stripes of the male costume are popular in Northern Germany for casual wear. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tracht

Shopping in Regensburg

I am back here! It seems that I am quite busy with my other world. How about some shopping update for now? We went shopping two weeks ago in Regensburg here in Germany. We went to Donau Einkaufscentrum that time. I even took a photo as you can see below from the garage of this mall. Imagine that garage is almost full and the other garage at the back of the building too! We were also looking for some nice tv stands that time. The bad thing, we arrived there one hour before closing and have no chance to look for it. Next time again. More updates later guys! Goodnight!

I Voted For Today's European Parliament Election

I had finally the chance to exercise the freedom of suffrage in today's European Parliament Election in Germany. As we went to the voting area in our place, there were not so many people there or probably we were just a bit late and the others already casted their votes earlier. It was not really a good day today. The weather was very unfriendly especially when the rain started to pour after we went out from the school where the voting was held. We wanted to take a walk after voting but we ended up going back home because we were already wet.

For this year's European Parliament Elections, the 27 member countries of European Union voted from June 4-7 for this year's election. if I am not mistaken, the voters from Germany were the last ones who casted their votes today until 6:00 in the evening. I guess I voted for the party whom I think will represent the voices of the people in EU for the European Parliament. It is my choice and I have the right to fully exercise it. This is already the third time that I voted since my German citizenship in December 2007.

Good luck to all candidates and the different electoral parties. Feel free to visit my Euro Travel site for more infos about European Parliament Election.

This is the the beautiful church in Hohenfels. I took this photo today as we passed by in it while on the way to the voting place...see the dark sky, it don't have the patience to drop its tears causing us not to go walking..It was even thundering tonight..time to slowly go to bed! have a great evening to all!

Working in Germany

I always wanted to work in Germany. The problem is...my diploma and job experiences are not recognized here. I already sent for evaluation all my school papers. The result says that I can be admitted to any University in Germany but I need to attend first around 1,000 hours of German language and need to pass the examination to get the highest level called C1. I only have the B1 which is the middle level of German language. I always love internet and computers. I hope I can attend an IT or programming course here so that I can find jobs in programming in the future. Wish me luck!

Meeting The Minister President of Bavaria, Germany

I finally met the Minister President of the biggest state of Germany named Bavaria. It happened last Wednesday in Nuernberg or Nuremberg as we drove their to go for shopping. As we went to the Altstadt or old city in Nuernberg, the CSU Political party had a so-called rally. Europe Parliament Elections will take place in Germany this coming Sunday, June 7, 2009 to be exact. As what I had mentioned last week, that I am also voting for this election being a German citizen now. I just want to perform my duty as a new citizen of this country and at the same time want to exercise the freedom of suffrage. I am a bit excited and optimistic about it. Good luck to the candidates. Before I forget, the Minister President' name is Horst Seehofer. More info about him next time!

The person delivering a speech is the Minister President of the State of Bavaria, Germany. I finally saw Horst Seehofer!

Travel and Explore Burglengenfeld Castle in Bavaria, Germany

It's travel time again. Actually, I am just sharing this picture which I took in Burglengenfeld, a town in the district of Schwandorf in Bavaria, Germany. This is the Castle in Burglengelfeld. I took this photo during my husband's appointment in this town. I stayed right in front of the clinic and I already saw this view. Isn't it beautiful? The added attraction is the tree that is full of flowers. I just have no idea what tree is this but I have a lot of ideas how it is to spend some
Orlando vacations in the United States. How I wish! have a great day to all!

Getting A Free Credit Report

We are almost in the middle of the year! I hope you had a good start of the month of June. I guess I am! am sharing about financial topic in this blog today. I guess this would also be an interesting topic especially for German people who want to migrate to the United States. I heard before in a German TV news that America is the second country where Germans go for migration next to Switzerland. If you are planning to live in the U.S., you have to understand what a credit report is.

During my two months vacation in the United States, I started to learn more about credit report. According to my understanding, it is a summary of your credit history that provide your status on how you handle your loans or things like credit cards. You will also be given a credit rating when you obtain your credit report. The next question? Where to obtain a free credit report? One company that provides free credit report is Credit Nexus. You can obtain a 3 in 1 credit report from this company for free.

My next question is; Why you need a credit report? Once you decided to make a loan in a bank or certain financial institution, buy a house through mortgage, buy a car through financing or any kind of secured loans, a credit report in the U.S is always needed. Obtaining one will also help you track identity theft. I even heard from sister in Las Vegas that a lot of people were victimized by identity thieves everyday. If ever you need one, I suggest that you consult the experts.
