Travel and Explore Straubing in Bavaria, Germany

If I don’t have the desire to visit the second largest folk festival in Bavaria called Gäubodenvolksfest in Straubing, I probably don’t have the chance to visit this city. Straubing is an independent city in Lower Bavaria, southern Germany. It is located along Danube River. We visited this city last August 2009. After making a sightseeing in the old city, we proceeded to the famous Gäubodenvolksfest which is considered to be one of the biggest agricultural festival in Bavaria and in Germany as a whole.

The picture below is the so-called Theresienplatz or Theresa’s Square. On the other side of that watch tower is the Ludwigsplatz or Louie’s Square.
