I don't exactly know when is the exact date of the 850 years anniversary of Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate in Bavaria, Germany. I just read from the newspapers since last week that there will be some programs that are going on this month for its 850 years celebration. There will also be a lot of programs this coming weekend. I guess we will take time to visit it since it is only around 45 minutes drive from where we live.
I remembered driving here last 2006-2007 everyday to attend the so-called Integration Course. This is where I also go shopping sometimes from women's accessories, clothes, shoes, beauty products and a lot more. I usually visit Mueller for perfumes, blackhead extractor, lotions, shampoos and other women stuffs.
You can see historical and colourful buildings in Neumarkt. You can also see in my picture here the town hall of Neumarkt. It l was built in the late Gothic period (around 1430) and
destroyed in 1945, but rebuilt in 1956/57. The town hall was extensively renovated in 1999. I was once inside the town hall. It was the time when we (me and my classmates in German Integration Course) were introduce to the Mayor and some history of Neumarkt. It was quite interesting.
Feel free to click the picture to enlarge. Thanks.
