German Party Versus Filipino Party

We attended a friend’s birthday party last Saturday in Ramstein-Miesenbach in Rhineland Pfalz, Germany. Some of my friend’s visitors were Germans. They were amazed especially about the foods that were prepared during the party. I have been to a lot of German parties like wedding and birthday parties but there is not so much food prepared like Filipino party. Some of the German visitors were even asking me if my friend prepared all those foods. I told them yes and I helped a bit. I cooked my favorite Filipino menu called menudo afritada. After eating those plenty of food at the party for sure, you need some diets that work. Imagine eating a lot of different food? I can’t imagine how many calories we gain if we will try eating all the foods prepared by my friend.

When attending a German party, you can try to eat different kinds of cake with coffee or tea. One to three main dishes are being served with vegetable salad and maybe a Knoedel or potato dumplings. Compared to Filipino party which is usually a buffet style where you can eat from five until ten or more different dishes serve on the table. Try to enlarge the picture to see the menus prepared during a Filipino party. That was a great birthday celebration we attended! Everyone had fun and enjoyed the food also!
