Insurances in Germany

I guess it is time to share a bit about personal experiences we are having right now in Germany. My husband said that some insurances are very important to have in Germany. Health insurance is even a must in this country especially if you are visiting here. I went yesterday to the bank and paid our yearly house insurance and liability insurance. Hubby is also waiting until now for the payment of his accident insurance. Imagine he got an accident last August 2007 and until now the payment is still not settled. Since his accident where his ankle was broken and had a surgery for it, he is complaining until now of the pain. In fact he is also complaining of the pain in his knee where he only have after that accident happened. He is planning to avail of a social security disability if he can’t work anymore until his retirement age due to the pain he is experiencing until now. The doctor said that his knee need to be operated in the soonest possible time. I guess it will take me some time to explain everything here. Don’t you know that we are also paying other insurances like lawyer insurance, private accident and life insurances and some other more to mention. I agree to have some because in time of emergency, it can also help.
