Obere Pfarre or The Church of Our Lady in Bamberg, Germany

Bamberg is a city in the Upper Franconian part of Bavaria, Germany. It belongs to the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. It is a city full of history and very rich in tradition and architecture.

I would love to share this time a very nice historical church in Bamberg. The images you see below was taken during our visit last October 9, 2010.

This is the Obere Pfarre or Pfarrkirche zu Unserer Liebe Frau. It is called in English as Upper Parish Church or Church of Our Lady. According to the book I bought about Bamberg, the construction of this church begun around 1300 and was finally completed in 1535. This church has a combined Baroque and Gothic architecure in the course of its building. There are a lot of interesting and religious statues, carvings, figures and monuments that you can see inside this church.

Here are some images I took during our visit last october 2010.
