Be Careful When Going To German Festivals

Let me say, this is only a sort of warning especially when you are visiting big German festivals like the Oktoberfest in Munich, the Canstatter Volksfest in Stuttgart, the Christmas markets like in Nuremberg and any big events and celebrations in Germany.

I just remembered a friend who was pickpocketed last December 2010 during Nuremberg’s Christmas market event. It seems that the culprit possessed a hi tech pickpocketing ability because my friend did not even felt and knew that her bag was already opened and most of her valuables were stolen.

Germany is normally a peaceful country. There are not so much crimes in this country compared to other countries in the world. Since the opening of the borders, a lot of crimes were already happening around. But in general, I can still say that Germany is safer to live compared in the United States.

I wish I can share more about this. I also have an image here taken during the Spring festival in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany last April 2010.
