German-American Volksfest 2011-Day 1

We went yesterday to the first day celebration of the German-American Volksfest in Hohenfels. It was raining that afternoon but we were lucky because it stopped as we were already there. After making a round at the festival square, we proceeded to the feast tent to eat some food. I ordered gyros with french fries. I did not expect that a serving was a full-plate and it is alrteady too much for me. If I have to eat this kind of food everyday, I might need to take a fenphedrine. Gyros actually is a Greek food and I love it. I cook it at home sometimes. Today as I went grocery shopping, I bought some meat because I am planning to cook it maybe next week or this coming weekend.

My first day of visit to the said festival is quite nice. I met some friends and I enjoyed looking around. I wanted to stay inside the feast tent longer to hear some music but one of my friend’s daughter was not feeling good after some rides.

This afternoon I received a call from another friend, telling me that we will meet again at the feast site. Anyone want to join us? Don’t forget that everyone is welcome to witness the said festival. See you there!
