Fasching in Hemau, Bavaria

The beginning of Fasching is almost coming.Fasching, also known as carnival begins every year on the 11th of November at 11:11 a.m. and finishes on Ash Wednesday. In Germany, the three cities that are famous in celebrating Fasching are Cologne, Mainz and Düsseldorf.

I am featuring tonight the fasching held last March 2011 in Hemau. It is a small town in Regensburg in the southern part of Germany. It might not be a big event but a very interesting and enjoyable one. You can see a lot of participants wearing colorful costumes with different styles and motives during the Fasching parade.

very nice float and beautiful costumes worn by each member of the group.

another beautiful float at the Hemau Faschingszug (carnival parade).
