It is over a year now since I visited Germany’s capital city. It was a 3-day trip with the bus from Bayern or Bavaria, Germany. The trip took about 6 hours including stops in between the journey. The first stop of our bus upon arrival Berlin was in KaDeWE which stands for Kaufhaus des Westens or “Department Store of the West” in English. It is said to be the second largest department store in Europe after Harrods in London.
Near KaDeWe, you will find a monument. I took a snaphot of this statue but I cannot find its exact name. Any idea out there? Thanks in advance.
This is the “Lebensalter” or “Südbrunnen” (Ages of life – South Fountain). It is located in Wittenbergplatz, 10789 Berlin and was built in 1985 by Waldemar Grzimek, Hartmut Bonk, Fee Franck and Christian Höpfner.
You can find more of the infos in this link http://www.stadtentwicklung.berlin.de/bauen/brunnen/de/tem_sch/11.shtml.
Thanks to my friend Art who always help me find information about statues and monuments in Germany. I truly appreciate it.
