River Cruises from Passau to Budapest

Are you visiting Europe and want to experience the best of it? One of the best ways to see this continent is through river cruises. Depending on where you want your trip to start, you can always choose the place  of your  departure.

For example cruising in Danube River from Passau, Germany to Hungary’s capital city of Budapest will give you the experience of seeing some of the most beautiful scenery in Europe. You will surely have a great time passing the different cities along Danube river. You can always find new scenery everyday from towering gorges, fairytale castles, historical churches and other monuments, tiny but beautiful villages, valleys and mountains and more.

From the three-river city of Passau, you will  be passing the  historical  riverside  Austrian town of Melk which is famous for its Benedictine Abbey. You will also have the chance to see the beautiful landscape of Wachau which is very famous for its vineyard. You will also be passing Krems an der Donau, a city known for its apricot brandy.

The cruise continue to Vienna, Austria’s capital city. You  will  see the beauty of this city including its famous sights like the Stephen’s Cathedral, the Hofburg, Schönbrunn Palace and more.

St. Stephen Cathedral  in  Vienna, Austria during  my second visit last summer 2011.

Bratislava, the capital city of Slovakia is also interesting to visit. It has a very pleasant medieval inner city with narrow, winding streets, a hill-top castle next to the river Danube, and many historic churches and buildings to see and experience.

Before reaching Budapest, you will be passing this lovely town of Esztergom. This town marks the border between Slovakia and Hungary. It is known for its Basilica which is considered to be the biggest in Central Europe.

Of course, you will have the chance to visit one of Europe’s delightful and enjoyable cities, known as Budapest. There are a lot of interesting sights to see in this city.
