This Lovely Little Town of Kallmunz in Bavaria

It is not really a big town but there are some interesting sights to see in Kallmuenz. Written as Kallmünz in German, this town is located around 25 km north of Regensburg. We had a short sightseeing in this town last January this year. We want to do some window shopping but this town did not have a lot of shops. There is a grocery store like Netto and a bakery shop and some restaurants also. Hubby told me to buy double edge razor blades but I forgot to do it. I ended up buying it in the next town of Burglengenfeld.

The main sights in Kallmuenz are the old stone bridge and the Kallmünz Castle. If you have the chance go up to the castle hill to have a nice view of the place and its surroundings.

The red building is the Town Hall and the one on the right side is a memorial  for the victims of WW II.

The tower of St. Michael’s Church in Kallmünz and the River Naab.
