A Visit To King Ludwig’s Linderhof Palace in Bavaria

This is one of the most beautiful palaces built by the famous king of Bavaria, King Ludwig II. Linderhof Castle is the smallest one and  for me the most beautiful one especially its interior part.

I had the chance to visit this palace with friends last September 2011. We had a tour inside the palace and sad to say, no pictures are allowed inside. I did not the chance to stole one either..lol!

What I love most in this palace is its Hall of Mirrors. The mirrors created an unimaginable effect when they reflected the light of the candles a thousand times. The parallel placement of some mirrors evoke the illusion of a never ending avenue. It was truly an amazing effect.

The beautiful setting of the castle with the mountains and forest on the background. In front of the castle is a parterre with statues and fountains  on it. Try to visit the castle when you are in Bavaria, Germany. It is located near Ettal Abbey.
