Experience Neumarkt Jura Volksfest

The festival in Neumarkt is actually going on until now. It is called the Neumarkt Jura Volksfest. Over two hundred thousands of locals and visitors are expected to visit the said celebration. This festival has already a long tradition having been celebrated since 1829. Since 1954, it is then called the JURA Volksfest.

Experience carnival rides, Bavarian folk music, German delicacies, local beers  and most of all the fun and enjoyment you will have when you are there.

I have been to this festival for a lot of times. Since my 9 years of living nearby this city, I believed I was there six times already.

This year’s celebration takes place from August 10-20, 2012. You still  have  time to go there! Have fun!

Here are some snapshots I took in one of my previous visits.

A Carousel Ride in Neumarkt’s JURA Volksfest.
A frisbee ride during the festival. Wanna try it? I guess I won’t!
The highlight of the celebration is a parade that goes around the city especially in the Old Town.

Horse carriages and other floats can also be witnessed during the parade. I love Germany festivals!
