Sights Not To Miss in Turkey

Planning to visit Turkey? I can’t believed that this country has a lot of things to offer to its guests and visitors like me. I booked one of the Cheap holidays to Turkey I found last year. I did not hesitated to do it because it was really affordable. We visited some of the interesting places in the Western part of Turkey. It was truly a memorable and fun-filled holiday.

I highly recommend these sights not to miss when visiting Turkey.

Hagia Sophia– I already visited a lot of churches and cathedrals in Europe but Hagia Sophia is unique in its own. This amazing architecture was a former basilica, turned to mosque but now a museum. I love what I see in its interior.

The Ruins of Ephesus– This is one of my favorite places when I visited Turkey last 2011. This ancient Greek city located in Selcuk is truly worth to see. The Library of Celsus, Hadrian Temple, the Theate and the Odeon are really amazing ruins in Ephesus.

Aphrodisias– I believed you are very familiar about the “goddess of beauty”. Yes, Aphrodias means Aprodite and we were able to explore this interesting ruins. It was really very impressing seeing the Temple of Aphrodite, the Monumental Gateway or Tetrapylon, the Bouleuterion or Council House and the Odeon.

We also visited Izmir, Troy, Bergama, Bursa, Ayvalik, Pamukkale and other small towns and villages we passed-by during that 10-day trip we had last September 2011.

If you are planning to visit Turkey, plan it ahead of time so that you can save time, money and also avoid stress and hassles. There are a lot of travel agencies online where you can find affordable holidays to Turkey.
