Fasching Time Is Finally Here!

Did  you experienced the so-called Fasching celebration in Germany,  Austria or Switzerland? If you did, I am quite sure, you had a lot of  fun!

Fasching is simply called carnival. Some people in Germany call it Fastnet or Fastnacht. Fasching season  in Germany  begins every 11th of November at 11:11 am. It  ends on Ash Wednesday.

I already witnessed and experienced some Fasching  parades in Bavaria which usually occurs during Rosenmontag or Rose Monday.  During the parade you can see different carnival costumes and floats  with various decorations.During these events, hundreds of thousands of people celebrate in the streets, even if temperatures are low.

Cologne, Düsseldorf and Mainz are only some of the cities in Germany that are famous for their Fasching or carnival celebration.

I love the costume  of this group who participated during the carnival parade in Dietfurt.
