Thank You Germany! Thank You World! From the Philippines

It was indeed a very tragic and horrific calamity when typhoon haiyan, known in the Philippines as yolanda,  hit the country last November 7, 2013. Being a Filipino who live thousands of miles away from my homeland, I can’t help myself but to cry when watching all the horrible pictures and videos in television, in the internet and on the newspapers. This catastrophe is simply heart-breaking,  seeing my fellowmen  suffering, hungry, depressed and traumatized caused by this monster typhoon haiyan. Prayers, thoughts ans sympathy to all the victims especially to those who lost their loved ones caused by this catastrophe.

Thanks to the maker of this banner.

Thanks to all the nations who extend their helping hands, all humanitarian help,  generosity and compassion to the Philippines and most of all to the victims, in terms of financial, moral, in kinds support, medicines, food, water, volunteers of all sorts, equipments, transportation, and everything that help the Filipino victims in this very bad and traumatic situation.

Most of all, I would like to thank my new home, Germany for sending all your support to my beloved Philippines. My heart is jumping with joy seeing all those who extended and will be extending their  help to my fellow Filipinos. To the whole world, thanks for all your help.

Today, I also read in a local German newspaper about the donations  given by German people. Aside from the help of the German government,  my fellow Germans also donated to the different non-government  organizations millions of financial help to be given and be shared to the victims of the monster typhoon haiyan or yolanda.

I know and I believe that the Philippines  and  all the Filipinos worldwide especially the victims will be forever grateful to all of you! I  am forever grateful! Thank you Germany! Thank you world  for remembering and helping us in times of our deepest needs.

This is an image I took from a local German newspaper, Mittelbayerische Tagblatt which  summarized all  the help  of the German people to  various  non-government organizations or  NGOs in Germany.

Aktion Deustchland Hilft ( Action Germany Help)- 7.5 Million Euros

Unicef Germany- 5 Million Euros

Diakonie Katastrophen  Hilfe –  1.5 Million Euros

Rote Kreuz (Red Cross Germany) – 3.5 Million Euros

Caritas International -2.5 Million Euros

Arzte Ohne Grenzen (Doctors  Without Limit)- 1 Million Euros

Today, I also heard over the radio that the German government will donate 6 Million Euros to  German  non-government organizations  who will  give and distribute this help to the victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.

“Federal Foreign Minister Westerwelle made the following statement today (12 November) on the margins of the ASEM Foreign Ministers Meeting in New Delhi:

“Whole swathes of Philippine country have been devastated. We want to help and stand by the many people who have been injured and made homeless in the areas destroyed by the typhoon. The German Government is therefore making funds available which German relief organisations will use for their work helping the victims on the ground.”

AGAIN AND AGAIN,  WE FILIPINOS AND THE WHOLE PHILIPPINES  WILL AND ALWAYS BE FOREVER GRATEFUL! THANK YOU SO MUCH  FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! MARAMING SALAMAT PO!
