The Alps in Bavaria, Germany

I can easily relate to the word Alps. You know why? When I was still young, I use to drink this milk named Alpine. With its wrapping, I always see the snow white-covered mountains. I was dreaming one day I will be able to see the Alps.

I am living now in Europe specifically in Bavaria, Germany. This part of Germany especially when you are in Allgäu, you can have a good view of the Alps. I can still remember my first vaction in Allgäu last August 2006. I can't forget that because it was my birthday vacation.

The Alps is one of the great mountain range systems of Europe, stretching from Austria and Slovenia in the east through Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Germany to France in the west. The highest mountain in the Alps is Mont Blanc, at 4,810.45 metres (15,782 ft), on the Italian–French border.

a very beautiful view of a part of the Alps in Bavaria, Germany.

Remembering Our Vacation in Allgäu, Bavaria

I love this place and the sights around. This was taken during our 2006 vacation in Allgäu, written in English as Allgaeu. This place is located southwest of Bavaria in Germany. You can see in my picture here the pre-Alpine lands. This place is also famous for vacation where you can also see the fairy-tale castle of King Ludwig II of Bavaria, the Neuschwanstein Castle.

There are still some places I want to visit in Germany and outside of Germany. One friend from Florida was inviting us last time to visit Florida Keys vacation to know some information about Florida and good holiday deals. I guess it is impossible this year because we have a lot of projects to do in our house here in Germany and in the Philippines. We are planning to visit again Allgaeu this year to visit once again Neuschwanstein castle.

Vacation in Fuessen, Allgaue

I love this place especially the amazing nature they got here. This was in Fuessen, Allgaue during our vacation in 2006. I took a sit for a while while we went walking around the beautiful scenery in the place. From the photo, you can see the Alps mountain in the background. The green surroundings around manifest how the German people truly love and take care of the nature. I am sharing this nice photo for today. I have to take a break for a while to search for some bathroom vanities online. We really need to repair our bathroom upstairs and I just need some good ideas. I hope we can do it before the middle of the year!! have a great day to all!!

Neuschwanstein Castle, The Fairy tale Castle in Allgaue

In my background is the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, the Fairy tale Castle in Fuessen, Allgaue here in Germany which was built by King Ludwig II, king of Bavaria. The castle's construction started in September 5, 1869 and was designed by Christian Jank.

This photo was taken last August 2006 during our vacation there.

Allgäu is a German region in the southwest of Bavaria also extending some kilometres into southeastern Baden-Württemberg. The region stretches from the prealpine lands up to the Alps. The main rivers flowing through the Allgäu are the Lech and Iller rivers.

It is sub-divided into the following regions:

Oberallgäu
Unterallgäu
Ostallgäu
Westallgäu

The area, famous for its beautiful landscape, is popular for vacations and convalescences. The alpine regions of Allgäu, which exceed 2,000 metres of altitude, offer good skiing facilities. The legendary Neuschwanstein castle is located in the eastern part of Allgäu. Despite its advantages, the land is not overcrowded by tourists.
